Frequently Asked Questions
No. To avoid costly revisions and delays, I only accept manuscripts that have been fully copyedited. Please make sure copyediting is complete before submitting your document.
I specialize in text-heavy fiction and memoirs. While I can easily integrate an author bio photo, a front-matter map, and simple chapter headings, my current workflow is not set up for highly complex academic textbooks, heavy tables, or extensive footnoting.
At this time, I only offer interior design for print and digital. However, I would be happy to reach out to my trusted network to help you find a cover designer.
Depending on the package you choose, you’ll receive a high-res, print-ready PDF and/or a clean, reflowable EPUB optimized for major e-readers. All final files will be fully formatted, tested, and 100% ready to upload.
Please submit your manuscript as a .docx or .doc file. Please ensure all text is clean, and any specific formatting notes (like where you’d like scene breaks, a map, or text conversations) are clearly marked.
Each package includes two revisions: one where you decide if you want any changes, and another for any changes found during proofreading.
Revisions include minor styling tweaks, fixing layout anomalies, or correcting small typos caught after formatting. Revisions do not include major structural changes, swapping out chapters, or reformatting text due to heavy manuscript rewrites after layout has begun.
My standard packages include your ready-to-publish PDF and EPUB files.
You are free to do so, but keep in mind that certain e-readers, such as Kindle, do not allow for transparent backgrounds in images. Kindle, for instance, will add a white background to transparent images.
Absolutely! Even with a clean manuscript, minor issues can occur during formatting. I always recommend having a professional proofreader review the final layout file (the “proof”) to catch any tiny misses before you publish. This should be done before requesting any revisions from me.
I would love to! Since I am a professional editor, we can easily add proofreading to your order for an additional fee. If you’d prefer a fresh set of eyes, I can also refer you to trusted proofreaders in my professional network.
